YARXI is an electronic Japanese-Russian kanji and vocabulary dictionary that offers detailed information on Chinese characters used in Japanese, known as kanji. The application employs an element-based search system grounded in an original framework of 632 visual components, providing users with a specialized approach to kanji lookup.

Its features include a versatile kanji search function allowing for inquiries by handwritten shape, by up to four elements, by reading (with optional wildcards), by meaning (with optional wildcards), and by stroke count. The compound word search enables queries by kanji (up to four), reading, or meaning, and is integrated with kunyomi search for a comprehensive experience.

The interface incorporates internal hyperlinks for easy navigation, animated stroke order diagrams to facilitate correct writing techniques, and functionality to create favorite lists of kanji and words. Additionally, there are drill exercises for hiragana and katakana, as well as kanji and vocabulary practice modules. Users can import preset groups of kanji or words for targeted study, perform interactive kanji decomposition analyses, and add personal notes to individual characters.

The database encompasses a total of 6,355 kanji. YARXI is available in a free minimum edition featuring 1,006 kanji, and a discounted Plus edition that includes 2,136 kanji for more comprehensive reference and study.
